Hello. It's been a while.

Some news:
As you have certainly see, there was only one update last week and I apologise for this (I promised to do at least two updates per week).
I had to draw and re-drawn a few works in order to pass an appointement for a preparatory class of art that will allow me to (theorically) join the greatest art's school of France and that degree of computer art, which is my real goal.
Now this mean that there is two news, one good, one bad.
The bad news: From October to June, the updates of this ver page will slow down, which means no new BE Avenger this year, again. That is mostly because of the good news: I am officially an art student getting prepare to pass the entrance exam for the best art's schools of France (theorically) and getting a top notch dossier to become a computer artist (which is more likely to happen). I will have a really busy year with very few vacantions and I have to change my priority during these months of practicing.
I hope it will worth it and that my art will improve dramatically. I always wanted to know how it feels to be a good artist.

Videogames, yeah!
Other piece of news: I always spat on RPG video games, and especially on the Japanese RPG with their un-roleplayistic system of experience (aka fighting whatever is in my sight). I hate diablo with a passion (by the way: Blizzard, please die), and almost anything that isn't labelled Bioware or Black Isle studio can just go to hell. I never found all the possibilities given by a proper table RPG in these videogames, unless it's a Fallout game. Yes this long, hatefull and boring introduction was just made to come to my next topic: RPG on video games.

As I said before, I like Fallout, especially the 2 despite I never really finish them. So I tried to give a chance to the third episode depsite all the scream of agony of the harcore fans I know on the forum of my favourite French gaming magazinen (it's a nest of fallout adorators). My impressions are that this game is not a fallout. Call whatever you want but this is not a fallout.
In a fallout you are not obliged to blow the head of anybody. In a fallout you can plays as Dumbass MacTwit and manage to have fun. in a fallout game you can win, pacifically forever. In a Fallout you laugh on black humor. None of the elements said before are in this game. It is a waste, even when you mod it. Bethesda didn't even bother to take the good elements of Oblivion for this game. Where is the really funny minigame related to speech (the one with the weel on the upper left coprner of the HUD). And what is this physics engine ? Everything feels like it has no inertia and the guns are as punchy as a nerf launcher. A dreadful games completely obliterate to be played on a gaming console!

If you want some real Post apocalyptique first person game get STALKER Oblivion Lost. That game made me soil my underwear a lot of time.

Another RPG I am playing these time, Final Fantasy VII thanks to the PSN. When I was younger (10 years ago, more precisely) a friend of mine lend me his copy of Finakl fantasy VII. and I never finished the first CD. Sony allowed me to take revenger on my younger time thanks to this magnificent Proust's madeleine, for those who read "In Search of Lost Time". After nearly 32hours of game and a great level 50 (which help a lot, thanks Xp farming), I'd like to say that wath Final Fantasy VII's fans say about this game makes absolute sens. It is just that good, that epic. Sure it has some flaws like the random battles that are a pain when you have a low level, the crappy French translation ("spot the mispelling" is a game ine the game)or the controls that are a bit stiff because of the camera.

Still, it is a great story, the backgrounds are magnificent despite the age of the game and the universe is staggering with this mix of steam-punk, cyber-punk and Heroic Fantasy.
Playing again with Clad, Aeris, Baret, Tifa (F-CUP !), Red XIII, Cid, Cat Sith and the newbies that I didn't manage to get on my first attempt: Vincente and Yufie, who is my favorite character. Yes, despite Tifa's breasts, goddammit.
FFVIIis actually one of the very few games that made me cried, a bit. The other ones are Silent Hill 2 and Call Of Duty 4. Yup, COD4 made my cry when I realise that it costed me 60 euros (84 dollars)for 6 hours of game in comando difficulty with the worst multiplayer ever made and that people are stupid enough to thins IT'S A GOOD GAME!

FFVI leave a so good impression on me that It actually made me want to try other Final Fantasy that are not the 8th, or should I call it Final Fantasyhills 90210. So I bought FFXII. My impressions after 3 hours aren't really settled. The game is rather good looking, the hero looks a bit girly but the overal design still really, really good. thanks Mister amano for your design reshearch. I just regret that the fighting sytem is more like an MMORPG and doesn't use the good old round by round system. Like in table RPG.
For all the possessors of Xbox360: how is Tales of Vesperia? I'm waiting for the PS3 version of that game. With Kosuke Fujishima's characters design (Aah! Megami sama/ Ah! My goddess!)

At least these old games are still more entertaining that most of the new gen games I bought recently like resident Evil 5, which is dreadful, don't buy it if you like the RE saga. Seriously!

GRID was another disapointement. As a racing simulator fan i must say that I am starting to worry a bit. The cars feel like their tires are made out of soap and that the track is covered in oil, there is no qualification laps which means you are always at the bottom of the start on an unknown track. So you don't know how your car will behave and where you must brake or turn, but that's not important since you cannot change the setups. You can drive like a lunatic and brake/accelerate/turn/all above without fearing the consequences. The other driver of your team is an idiot and an asshole: I can't stop counting how many time he literally ram into my rear bumper or wings when I was on the lead.
At least the racing team generator allowed me to create Dickbutt Racing and to nicknammed myself "Furyo" thanks to my rageous driving style after my 55th attempt to finish the race because of the IA and/or that unknow corner I would pass properly if I was doing a qualification lap.
Still, I hope Gran Turismo 5 will come soon since there is no more racing games dealing about the WRC. Stupide new gen !

Sketch: 3$ to 10$, depending on the size and the number of items to draw (i.e simple character on a A4 sheet: 3$ [link] ; character with detailed background on a A3 sheet: 10$ [link] )

Inked work (digitally for the moment): 10$ to 15$ according to th number of items on the drawing (i.e: one character, no backgrounds : 10$ [link])

Colored work: 15$ for single character. For more detailed work with more items please send a mail with the description of what you want. I will send you a price estimmation. Discussion about the price are, of cours, possible (i.e: One character with no background: 15$ [link]).

For comics and strips: Please send your scenario, the prices will depends on the ammount of pages, the complexity of the frames desired and the kind of drawing (sketch, inked, color). Discussion about the price are, of cours, possible.

Rules:

The artist can refuse to do anything he finds offendent, against his moral values or not appealing for him.
What won't be drawn are works about: Porn/Hentai, carbon copy works, futanari, shonen ai and Yaoi, furry, tentacle rape and other artist's original character without their permission.
Work that are likely to be done: BE and busty characters, complete background scene, mecha design, weapon design, slice of life, Pin-Up ...

The commissions will start after the 31rst January, works can take up to a forenight to be done according to the artist's schedule. The works that were commissioned or asked before the 17th Januray do not applied to these rules.
Kiribans have priority over other works.


The payment will be done as followed: A 100X100 pixels screencap of the final work will be send to show the finality of the work with a link to the artist's paypal account. After this the amount decided by both parties will be send on the artist's paypal account. After having the proof of the payement the artist will send the work or post the work on his deviant art page, depending on the agreements decided.
