One thing: more contraste, it will give much more life, though it is a celluloid-like color. You should use colors like reds or blues or purples, even oranges would have done a great job.
Another thing, it lacks a bit of boldness, a more striking or dynamic pose would have been great.

However, the angle is classic BUT well used, the round shapes and curves give more cuteness to this scene, there is not really big anatomical mistakes for a cartoony drawing. In one word: it is an effective cartoon-ish drawing that is quite well constructed.
Just a bit more bold.
