Hello fellow deviants, BE Avenger here.
This is my first journal since late July. You can guess that I haven't anything revelant to tell back then. Well the true is that I had a few things to tell you, but I was damn' too busy to tell you.
First of all, my year of preparation class for fine art schools is getting smooth so far. I've done a few good works according to my teacher (and one really crappy thanks to H1N1) which helped me to end this semester with quite good grade, especially in sketch class. Frankly I never felt that happy to go to school after my traumatising passage at the uni and after being almost bored to death trying to earn another diploma in two years. I don't know If I could hold the one week/one drawing pace for long since the entry exams are coming fast.
Now some bad news: The SP3 blowed up my Win XP, that's all. I had to reinstall everything but I didn't loose any important work or files, i.e internet por.... drawings. Yeah, basically it's the same.
And now thigs about videogames:
I played Call Of Duty MW2, it's a dumb game. Honestly, if the scenario wasn't so retarted, if you could FREAKING LEAN !!!!, if it lasts more than 5 hours in commando, if the rythm was more balanced and if there is an I.A, it would still not worth it's price. 60 euros (80 dollars !!) for a PC game is way too much. Honestly I didn't like it at all it was like Infinite Ward gave me the fingers and rub it to my face.
It deserves a 4/10 because I'm not an idiot and this game is frustrating. Also since the multi is like MW1 it is not interesting.
Borderland, if there is an FPS you should buy it's this one. It's fun, it's a bit original, the graphics are good and original. On the other hand it can be a bit boring from time to time and there is a lot of bugs. None the less I was amused by this game and I hope that Gearbox software will do a second episode for that new licence. It's a honest 7.5/10 game and for the price I paid it (steam sale) it definitively worths it.
I also played Uncharted 2.I liked the first one which was a good game but not a revolution. This game isn't the most original game of all but it is something solid. It is quite short but there is a genuine replay value with the clever achievements that allow you to unlock many features, even for the multiplayer which is good despite being original. But the best thing in Uncharted 2 aside of its graphics is the rythm. It is genuinly perfect, never an action game was so poised and balanced in its rythm since HL². You never, EVER, feel frustrated because of A true pleasure that I hope we will find in Uncharted 3.
Honestly I give him a solid 9/10, it's not a revolution, but it is that good at what it does and there is co-op games.
So that's all for the moment, I'm still wainting for Bayonetta since the demo gave me the stiffy and for GT5 hoping it will keep all of its promises.
Now all I have to do is to wich you a mery christmas and an happy new year.
